About the Kindly Made Fundraiser
We run sustainable fundraisers for schools using everyday household products from ethical Australian brands. Families get items they already need, and schools earn meaningful, low-effort fundraising income.
About us
Who is The Kindly Made Fundraiser?
The Kindly Made Fundraiser exists to help kindergartens and schools raise funds by offering families ethical, sustainable everyday products.
Our mission is simple:
To make it easier for families to choose products that are kinder to people, animals and the planet, while supporting local education communities.
Our Logo – the Old Man Banksia
Our logo features the Old Man Banksia (Banskia Serrata) a native Australian plant that supports endangered wildlife and plays an important role in its ecological community.
Just like the Banksia, we aim to nurture and protect the environment and the communities around us. By working together with families, schools and suppliers, we use collective buying power to encourage ethical and sustainable practices in manufacturing and supply chains.
What makes The Kindly Made Fundraiser Different?
We offer a practical, ethical alternative to traditional school fundraising.
• Ethically sourced products
• Sustainably produced
• Not tested on animals
• Designed to reduce environmental impact
• Useful everyday items — not chocolates or novelties
• Easy for schools
• Meaningful returns for fundraising
By choosing Kindly Made products, families help raise funds and support better practices across the supply chain.
What does 'Kindly Made' mean?
"Kindly Made" is our standard for choosing products.
To the best of our ability, we look for products that are:
• Cruelty-free
• Environmentally responsible
• Made without exploitation or forced labour in the supply chain
As ethical and sustainability standards evolve, so will we.
How are we making a difference?
Our biggest impact comes through your family choosing Kindly Made products.
Your support strengthens our voice and increases our ability to:
• Encourage suppliers to adopt better practices
• Promote transparency across supply chains
• Grow the demand for ethical and sustainable goods
Together, we create market-driven change — one household purchase at a time.
Continuous Improvement
We know ethical sourcing is a journey, not a checkbox. As we grow, we will continue to:
• Strengthen our Kindly Made criteria
• Improve supplier assessment processes
• Stay aligned with evolving best practice
• Respond to regulatory changes (e.g., Modern Slavery Act updates)
We see this as a long-term commitment to doing better, always.
Our 'Kindly Made' Standards - Cruelty Free
Our Commitment
We are committed to offering products that are not tested on animals.
How we do this
• We partner with suppliers who confirm they do not test on animals
• We prioritise suppliers aligned with recognised cruelty-free standards
• We continue to strengthen requirements as industry standards evolve
Our 'Kindly Made' Standards - Environmental Sustainability
Our Commitment
We prioritise products that have a lower impact on the planet.
How we do this
We seek suppliers who:
• Use responsibly sourced, natural or low-impact ingredients
• Minimise waste and packaging
• Demonstrate environmentally responsible practices
• Increase transparency in their supply chain
We will continue working toward greater traceability and higher standards over time.
Our 'Kindly Made' Standards - Modern Slavery
Our Commitment
We are committed to reducing the risk of exploitation and unfair labour practices in our supply chain.
How we do this
We take a “circles of influence” approach, expanding our influence as we grow.
This includes:
• Working directly with suppliers to understand their sourcing practices
• Requiring suppliers to confirm they have measures to prevent labour exploitation
• Prioritising Australian-made products and Australian-based suppliers, while also partnering with suppliers who demonstrate responsible and ethical manufacturing practices overseas
• Encouraging suppliers to improve supply-chain transparency over time
We recognise this work is complex and ongoing, and we will continue strengthening our approach as our community and capabilities grow.
